Location

The site of Sandrs SIA quartz sand deposit "Bale - Berzini" II is situated in Beverina municipality. Active extraction of the mineral resource takes place in the northern part of the deposit area – in the site "Kalnbadini". It is situated in an economically remunerative location. About 500 m east of the motor road P20 leading from Valmiera to Cesis and 600 m to the west, the railway line Valmiera-Cesis-Riga stretches. Along the northern border of the sand pit, a gravel road leads to Murmuiza. Along the border of the deposit, a power line with the nominal voltage up to 20 kV stretches, to which a derivation can be set up for the sand pit development needs, if necessary.
